egg shell, rapid prototyped resin, dye ink

a conceptual experimental project which the brief was to design an MP3 player which plays one particular chosen song. The song is 'carbon' by a New Zealand artist '50Hz'. The fusion of artificial and natural sound is reflected by the choice of material which is an egg shell and rapid prototyped resin.

The laser etched eggshell and the act of injecting dye into the eggshell is a statement on human's selfish attempt on corrupting and manipulating nature and in the process, unknowingly corrupts themselves at the same time.
